They just don't aprecate the effort you went to taking them for a trip to the aquarium like that! and they were all exsited flapping around this morning when you told them they were going. I'd stop hanging around with fish, Always in school and can't ever remember your name.

If I were you I would buy a snail to put in with the goldfish. I just bought a bunch yesterday and the tank is cleaner already. And if you don't won't to get a snail because you don't like snails, then you can get those really small ones that are about half a centimeter long(that's the kind I have). Also there are these vacuums you can get. They have small wholes so you don't have to worry about vaccuuming any fish. The only bad part about this is that it takes about a third of the water out of the tank. Your goldfish probably like going under the brodge because you have too much light everywhere else in the tank. Of course when you turn off the lights they are not going to cme out immediately. I would keep the lights off for at least a day. Hope this helps!!

A Biorb isnt suitable for goldfish. If you cant afford to get a bigger tank maybe returning the fish and getting something else would be better. Biorbs are so over priced and not suitable as lovely as they look.

For now do a 50% water change, increase filteration and maybe add an air stone.

Maybe there`s not enough room in the biorb for them how many fish are in there?
I'm not really fussed on biorb`s they are like a bigger version of the old goldfish bowl
Have you checked your filter because that also could be your problem

That's because you're keeping them in a biorb.
I know that what you see / hear at petstores may had led you to believe that a goldfish would be fine in such a small tank, but this is not true. Goldfish are big, heavy, waste producing poop machines. They need a lot of water to be healthy. Smaller types like fancies need 15 gallons at least, per fish, and larger types like commons, comets and koi need to live in ponds because they are so big.
Please consider returing the goldfish and getting something more appropriate, like a 5 gallon tank and a betta fish, because your goldfish won't live long in a biorb.

bioorbs are terrible tanks. overpriced tat.
definately not ideal for goldfish, not enough surface area for oxygen exchange, it could quite easily be that that they are suffering from. goldfish need a LOT of oxygen in their water. and a good filter too. the bioorb's filter is rubbish, and you can't change it either. and it'll be difficult to clean, so all your poor goldies poopy will be hiding itself away in the bioorbs "substrate" and messing up your water quality.

i would get rid of your bioorb and get your goldies a larger tank.
20 US gallons for 1 goldfish, 10 US gallons per goldfish thereafter.

i really dislike bioorbs heh!

It is bored, believe it or not fish get bored, he is probably sleeping, and they do sleep too. Change things about in the tank. If that doesnt work, get more fish, but slowly, because new fish can be more aggressive towards the old one.

You could also get some Mollys, turn up the heat by 2 degrees, and you will have 100s of babies, if you want to let them grow, check your filter, because loads get stuck between the sponge and tube top.
