philosophy includes the disciplines of metaphysics, ethics, epistemology, and logic. However, while some would place all other subfields of philosophy in one of those categories (e.g., political philosophy may be considered an application of ethics), others disagree. In The Story of Philosophy, Will Durant lists logic, aesthetics, ethics, politics, and metaphysics as the major divisions of the field.

There are only five areas of Philosophy? Let's see?

Epistimology: What is the nature of knowledge.

Ethics: What is The Good?

Philosophy of Language: How do we convey meaning?

Philosophy of Science: How do we do science?

Logic: What are the rules?

History of Philosophy: We know that these guys were wrong, so why do we still think they are worth studying?

Metaphysics: Where can I stick all the unimportant questions of Philosophy?
