I moved from to North Carolina two years ago. I love it. The skys are alsomost always clear and we get plenty of sun. I live outside of Charlotte, the area is growing rapidly. There are jobs, but it depends on what field you are in. The people are really nice and incredibly helpful. Shortly after we moved here we but up fences for our horses, two of our neighbors came over and helped. All of them stopped by and welcomed us.
I don't know what part of North Carolina you are thinking of. We do have nice beaches. We also have skiing up in the mountains. So it depends on what you want. I can tell you that the housing prices and property tax are a lot cheaper here than in PA. But they do tax vechiles. Hurricanes do reach Charlotte, but only brings rain. We do get ice storms, but the whole town shuts down, but it normally only lasts a day, and makes the landscape look beautiful. During the summer it is common to have scatter thoundshowers in the evening.

It is a beautiful state with tons of things to do. But things do cost more there, make sure you have a good job before you go. The beaches are so beautiful!!!!

NC is a great place, but take into consideration the weather hazards associated with this state,i.e. hurricanes, etc.
