No. But if you want to get married in a church then you will have to write to the vatican and get permission from the pope.
also i think you should be aware that if the siblings (your parents) are of the same sex you have a 50% chance of having deformed children, and if they are of opposite sex then there is a one in four chance that they will be deformed. Sorry but you should know.

20/20 had a particular in this quite a few yrs in the past. My cousin observed as me at the same time as the tutor all started and said, "Cuz, you've were given to make sure this software." We stayed on the phone jointly and watched the section. in accordance to 20/20, study has shown that married cousins have a particularly decrease incident fee of giving start to toddlers with actual or psychological issues than non appropriate moms and dads had. So there is not any genetic reason behind cousins to no longer marry. it really is unlawful in some states. So verify it out. My cousin & I were so very a lot in love. If we had conventional 50 yrs in the past what all of us comprehend now, we will be celebrating our fiftieth wedding ceremony anniversary quickly. Our households would have not approved in any respect. yet because it became out, our households did not approve of the non appropriate spouses that we did pick. reliable success.

Check your state laws. In some states it is legal for cousins (except first cousins) to marry. In other states no cousins can marry. By the way, are you from a small town? Isn't there anyone you are not related to that you can marry?

It is not against the law in Great Britain , it is one of those American ideas that are thrust upon us . Personally I wouldn't marry any of my cousins but I know someone who married their cousin .They had to ask their doctor if it was ok and they also spoke to the vicar who married them. All their children are in very good jobs and there was no defects at all,in fact the next generation(grandchildren) are extremely intelligent.Of course there is the possibility of any inherited illness coming out twofold. It's your life. Why we have to follow the American view of life I don't know. They seem so pious about everything and they are no way perfect, sorry to any Americans reading this ,but it's just my view.

When you marry your cousin, the blood that run in both of your veins is very similar causing you to be at a higher risk of having children with birth defect.
It is not healthy to marry someone from the same family for that reason...you will have a higher rate of retardation and illnesses and death.
No law tells you that you can't marry them, that is why they implemented the pre marriage blood test, but he is very close to being your brother...and that is why...it is NOT socially acceptable in the western cultures

Okay, first of all you should wait a couple of years before you marry anyone. Second of all, it is not against the law to marry your cousin but if you decide to have kids, it is more likely for them to have problems. I wouldn't go for it.

Something to think about... My ex-brother-in-law married his cousin here in Texas. They had four kids. All those kids looked identicle to their brothers and sisters and were all born with severe learning disabilities. It was funny at the wedding because the judge kinda tripped on everyone there had the same names on both sides. I don't know if your kids will be born messed up (that could of been because the dad was a big dummy) Ha! I think you'll be fine.

I won't tell you if I think this is disturbing or not. But.....................
Check with your county clerk's office. Google your county and marriage license (i.e. cook county marriage license, or Montgomery county marriage license, etc). Once you find your local clerk's office web page it will tell you the requirements to get married.
In Illinois you cannot get married if you are blood relatives. However, if you are over 50, they make exceptions and let you marry as close as first cousins. Check with your state. If it's against the law for you to get married. Try to find one of the people on here asking how to meet people. :D

Well I hope it's not your first cousin and both of you are legal adults. If not you can be in trouble but if you are hey go for it. But it would be wise to because of the blood lines. Hope you don't have kids yet or later.
