I have an idea for an invention?

However, I don't know to whom should I share the information about my idea with. Who should I talk to in order to see if my idea is practical?

Ah the 64 dollar question.

Who ever you show it to, make sure they sign a non-disclosure agreement. Otherwise, you'll end up in the same boat I did, with someone else actually developing the idea.

I knew I should have patented it first, but I wanted to make sure it was a good idea first.
