No...he hasn't done any of the "high-brow" films, or independent films, that normally get nominated for the Oscars. The closest he came was when "King Kong"--in which he starred--was nominated for Academy Awards (mostly special effects stuff). He has been nominated for-and won-People's Choice Awards & MTV movie awards.

Jack Black is really good and I love his work at times. He's one of those types like Robin Williams. He has to be in the right movie, otherwise he can suck. No Oscar nods, though. I think his performance in High Fidelity would be Oscar worthy.
