I'm thinking of building a PC again shortly. I used to buy my tower cases from the Bowlers in Manchester but this is now too far as I live in Lancs so it's not really cost effective. Does anyone know where I can buy a tower case that has a power pack in it to get me started. Stylish ones a plus but also looking for good deals?

The sound comes from the fan because it works to cool the CPU, because it's getting heated. The application you run is too 'heavy' for your CPU and/or RAM. Make sure you don't have too much entries (especially spyware or virus bodies) in startup; go to "Start >>> Run", type "msconfig" and press "Enter", select Startup tab and read all entries. If you find an unknown entry (Entry that has no name or has well name but it's like this one - "ssrsf") disable them, run a Antispyware and Antiviral removal tools (upgrade them first) then restart and try again. But if your CPU or RAM are really weak for that application, then you have to upgrade your pc. INFO!!! As you are in the UK Scan.co.uk might be a good idea, I use Ebuyer a lot as I have always found them to be fine. There should be small trader near you, PC World I find expensive for things like towers

Check out Newegg.com

Personally I would recommend the X-Navigator. Great case, plus it comes with removable face plates, awesome LEDs, five fans, side viewing window, and a 500w Power supply. I have one, and I love it!

That link should bring you to a list of different makes and models. Check them out!

I regularly build PCs and would recommend:
www.ebuyer.com
www.microdirect.com
www.komplett.co.uk
www.aria.co.uk
www.scan.co.uk
www.dabs.com
All decent enough sites with a big enough range for any budget.
