Well, maybe not proudly. Big bangs with an AquaNet protective layer, big perms that were teased to the point of no return, etc. I have photographic evidence at my mother's house - it is so humiliating, but funny at the same time.

Me! My bangs were so high, they didn't even fit into my 8th grade yearbook picture!
God Bless AquaNet! I would carry a can in my bag to school. Like I needed anymore!

My hair was always straight, no matter what I did to it, but I did sport the bangs curled up, and standing high off my head thanks to Rave... (I was never a fan of my g'ma's aqua net!) That's quite embarrassing... Many years of proof of that one... Especially school photos... lol
A couple years for halloween I went as a punk, and teased the crud outta my hair and put glitter hair spray all in it. I looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket! And yet, I thought I'd done a good (attractive!) job! lmao!

Yes, I was a proud member of that fan club. BUT I had the huge waterfall bags (just means tons of feathering and teasing) and instead of a perm, I had this ponytail on the top of my head with scrunchies all around it. Different colored scrunchies, of course. Yup, I was stylin' & profilin'.

Girl, it was the height of coolness in the 80's. Not only did I sport the look, so did my hubby and other the other people we hung out with. I've still got my spandex, snakeskin mini-skirts and ripped up t-shirts in a box somewhere. Ahhh, good times, good times.

I did. I had the LA Gears with two sets of laces in each shoe and the jeans with neon paint splattered all over them. I looked like Punky Brewster when I was little.

Absolutley!! The hair, the socks pulled up over the pant legs, the pink or red high tops, bleached jeans, print shirt collar over the jean jacket! Rock on plastic hoop earrings!!

Girl tons of styles have come and gone. Heck a few have even made it back once again. I am 50 and I've somewhat seen it all. You do what makes you happy as long as it's not majorly disrespectful to others.
Will you ladies please please bring back hot pants and mini skirts... I do so miss seeing you lovely ladies in them LOL.
