no sir, that was a long time ago for the slave days. They were different people back then with different beliefs. It's not our fault that our ancestors enslaved them. We shouldn't have to make up for it.

Well, since no one tends to agree with the slavery argument, reparations could be sought for the Jim Crow era, as there are still many many black alive today who suffered tremendous human rights violations during that time.
Of course, people don't want blacks to get anything and black probably won't. Still, you can't deny certain arguments as being valid.
Also, there are several groups who have been paid reparations for human rights violations so that fact there is so much deadlock against blacks receiving same is kind of ludicrous.
All in all, I don't really care. I'm not banking on any reparations now or in the future.

I agree with Caramel... My grandparents are in there 90's and have lived through an era in history that I can't even imagine and they suffered the direct results of slavery so reparations are not out of the questions, maybe give them a tax break or something.

This question has been posted too many times to count. As I answered this same lame question over and over again, No, blacks don't need reparations. The only time this topic comes up is when white people bring it up. Blacks don't talk about it because we don't care about it. We don't want it.

NO. The blacks got free room and board maybe the whites are owed back rent.Over 500,000 white soldiers died freeing the slaves,the bill has been paid.Black people sold thier own black people to the whites,thats right the slave brokers were black.
