Little microsopic lice like creatures - a bit like dust mites but they get into the animals skin. They cause irritation so the skin gets reddish and itchy a bit like an allergy and causes them to scratch a lot and eventually the hair to thin and fall out. Treatment is simple- some cream to rub in and or tablets depending on how bad it is.
