Hi,

i dont know why but transferring through middle banks arent really trustful for me.. And i always require my buyers to pay upfront and make sure the goods money is in my bank account before shipping it.. Do u think its a bit too much to ask on ebay?

I really dont want to get conned..besides, i sell hightech laptops/PDA/Ipods and stuff...

Its too risky for me too...

And what i mean by transfer into my account, i meant by when it is USABLE and i already can withdraw the money before i ship the stuff...
Is that bad?

I believe the first respondent didn't understand your question properly. You should be more specific. What I think you're speaking of, is that PayPal usually holds the payment an eBay buyer has made, so that the seller can't actually access the money (to transfer into his/her bank account, for instance) for a period of time, even after the payment has been deposited into PayPal.

A lot of people who only buy and don't sell on eBay aren't aware of this unpleasant circumstance. The reasons PayPal does this are mysterious, and the topic of much discussion, debate, and anger among eBay-ers. PayPal has never held a deposit in my account for more than a couple days.

I don't think you should hold your buyers hostage to PayPal. If you have a verified/confirmed payment in your PayPal account, you should ship the goods immediately, even if PayPal won't let you transfer the funds immediately. Because, you see, you do have the money, you just can't spend it immediately from your bank account, although you can spend it from your PayPal account. The buyer, on the other hand, has truly spent the money, and no longer has it.

At the very least, in your auctions you need to be explicit that this is your policy. Remember that most buyers won't really understand what you're speaking of unless you are very clear that PayPal holds funds for a few days before you can transfer them to a bank account.

Were I to see such a policy as this stated in an auction, I would not buy from that seller. Were a seller to do such a thing to me without telling me first, I would complain to eBay and to PayPal. If you don't like PayPal's policy, I think you should consider finding another payment service. There are some out there, although I don't know their policies on holding and transferring balances.

This is not too much to ask. Its how it should be done. Products should not be shipped until payment clears. If you dont mind losing a few percent, you can use paypal. I have used Paypal for years, and they insure that everything is handled properly, and no-one gets conned. It is a great service and might make your auctions look a little safer for prospective buyers.

Use PayPal for instant transfer. Money up front is routine on the net.

Not at all, almost everyone does this anyway. You have to pay first before the goods are shipped. It only makes sense.

honestly no longer. you need to consistently verify your funds is there previously delivery out. If absolutely everyone ought to ask you to deliver the product first tell them no. in the event that they do no longer desire to pay for it then record an unpaid merchandise checklist on them. you do no longer ought to apply a center economic corporation, like paypal, you are able to settle for cashiers tests, own tests or funds orders in simple terms. My and my husband will in simple terms settle for Paypal, m.o or cashiers tests. we don't desire to ought to problem approximately waiting for tests to sparkling and all that.
