I'm separated as of last June, will be divorced this summer. Second time for me.
What I did was started hanging out at a local comedy open mic, and joined some Yahoo groups, through which I made some friends of my own, not marriage related.
It's all good now.

You'll be just fine after a little spell. No one likes change- even if it's for the better! Isn't that crazy? I gor through my after divorce blahs by doing things I had stopped doing while married. Things I liked, but had not done them because of my ex-spouses influence. I called up old friends and went to old places I had forgotten,ect.. I enrolled in college and made new friends. Get involved in something- it will help. Stay close to people that really care about about you until you get through this. You will get over these feelings gradually. I swear!

i split up about a year ago after 21 yrs. married & though i was the one that wanted the split, it does get lonely & scary at times & my 2 kids live with me. best thing is to find new interests, reach out to people, stay busy, take care of yourself, exercise, stay positive, smile even if you don't feel like it. each day will get easier.

you need to get involved in your local church or join a group or club...this will occupy most of your time and offer opportunity to meet new friends
