Some one had made a mistake, and put an obituary for him and all it mentioned was his being the creator of dynamite, so he set up the nobel prize fund in an attempt to do some thing more possitive for the world.

all i can say is that he invented the dynamite but he never wanted it to be used for wars ....he felt guilty for it and made the hole noble prize thing which goes to the five disciplines: physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace.
