Why would a 38 year-old man date a 19 year-old woman?

and why would a 19 year-old woman date a 38 year old man. Does anyone think this is appropriate?

It's not inappropriate. They're both adults. Who cares? Why would it bother you? Jealous?

P.S. If disagreeing with you makes me a dork, then I'm Louis Skolnik from Revenge of the Nerds. Really... why should it matter to you what two consenting adults do? It's more inappropriate to judge people if you ask me. The law draws the line where necessary.

There are many variables about a man 38 years old dating a 19 year old. 1) wants to make sure he still has it!! (ego)
2) the younger the girl the happier you feel.
3) you can show off to all the other men who can't get a date, much less find a pretty woman nor a younger girl than their age!
4) 38 year old men usually have a good job........
etc..........

The list can be much longer!! Wether they date or not is not the issue.......most people think is wrong because of age difference. what they should look for is why they date each other!! I think is personal and if they both like each other, why not date?!!!

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with that . They are both adults by the legal standerds and if that is what they choose to do then let it be. Age is just in age. Not only that a 38 year-old man is sometimes younger in the mind then a 19-year old girl. Good luck!

Cause she has an *** like a necterine, and be truthful we all feel younger on the inside, no matter what our age. She is an adult, so he is not doing anything against the law. Its just hard for this girl to see the future with this man. When she is 50, he will be 70, bad teeth, hair growing out of strange places, doing the old man shuffle. I think she will bail before then. Don't worry.

It is not normal but if they were in love and there is nothing anyone could do about it. Of course Love is BLIND! Maybe there is something that the girl sees in him and not in the guys as of her age. Probably security and attention and commitment. Anyway they have to really think how the future will look like for both of them and where they'll end in a few years time.

Normally, an average 19 YO is vivacious, full of life, idealistic, not jaded, fun loving, mentally flexible, and both more thin and more physically attractive than an average 38 YO woman. Many men would find those characteristics appealing. Seems like a no-brainer.

It's not my place to judge a couple but as for your other question as to why an older man might like a younger woman the answer is some men like younger women cause it makes them feel young themselves. Some women like older men cause they feel special to be dealing with someone of such experience. Everyone has their reasons for something like that. Maybe you should ask your friend directly what his reasons are if you really want to know. Good luck!

I do not think that it is inappropriate, I believe that age is nothing but a number. If they were 78 and 59 would it be inappropriate?Dating, love, and all that other crap has to do with what and how people feel. Just because it may not be the norm does not mean it is wrong.
