Yes, I have had great success using supplements. I have almost eliminated getting colds. My biggest personal cure was eliminating a sinus problem that had given me mind numbing headaches for years that doctors couldn't help with.
I have also had fantastic success using vitamins and supplements with my cats. My 16 year old cat was given a death sentence 6 years ago by 2 different vets. I used a combination of homeopathic solutions and supplements to bring her back from kidney failure.
I don't believe all the miracle cures I read, but some of the stuff does indeed work.
I'm happy to go into more detail if you are interested.

Yes, definitely.
I don't take supplements all the time because I believe that if you are able to eat healthily, using mainly fresh, organic foods and you are not living in a very stressful way, you may not need to constantly top up your vitamins this way.
However, if you eat quite a lot of food from non-organic sources and food which has sat about on supermarket shelves it is very well worth taking supplements. Also if you eat quite a lot of processed foods. Also if your work is very stressful. Also if you live in a polluted environment. Also if you have lots of caffeine or lots of sugar... the list goes on!
So I think it makes sense to use vitamin and mineral supplements as a belt-and-braces kind of health insurance.
I've benefited from ginseng, echinacea and calcium and magnesium in particular and CoQ10 on one or two occasions when my health was lowered by the stresses and demands of work.
I also take cider vinegar from time to time which is a great tonic.

I absolutely have but I have done a ton of research and tested a lot of supplements to find what is right for me. I take calcium and magnesium in powder form at night to help me sleep. I take a Traditional Chinese Medicine formula called Ultimate Immortals which seems to boost my immune system and help mood swings. I take a liquid supplement called Ageless Xtra and that seems to boost my immune system and I get less colds. I have been to an acupuncturist for some maladies and she has helped me get down to the root of my problems. It is really trial and error and some things will work for you for a while but as you age or go through daily life and stress your needs will change. I suggest finding a good natural health practictioner and starting there or reading a lot on line for research. Be careful of A vitamins as they are toxic in large quantities as is Iron. We all need Vitamin C and the excess is expelled after you body uses what it needs. Good luck in your search!

I take something called "Living Green Liquid Gel Multi" --basically cuz it had all the vitamins PLUS efa's (essential fatty acids) that I was looking for---the EFA's seem to have helped my skin and hair, so yes, I've benefitted.

Korean Ginseng is great for PMT and the winter blues, when you just need a bit of a boost.
