You bring up an intresting question.

Where the natives here first. Yes

What you have to understand about thier beliefs is that no one owns the lands. according to the majority of native american tribes the land is owned by no one. They had a very diffrent view of the world and to the most part still do.

Now I am curious what you mean by bribed indirectly? Cause let me tell you the native tribes got squat for the most part.

That's an interesting can of worms you're opening. If you wish to apply such a synopsis to the USA, then it's only fair to apply it to the rest of the World. This would really disrupt the current status quo, redraw boundary maps, increase terrorism 10 fold and result in many unneeded wars. Are you sure you want to do this?

It's true that we purchased land from certain Native American tribes. We forced them to sell the land, in any case. We set land aside and assured them that these new reservations would belong to them forever. One of these reservations is an entire state now.. So we forced them to deal with us, made promises which we then broke. Historically, that's what happened. I don't think these sorts of issues apply today, though. Which includes reparations being suggested because of slavery, in my opinion. :P

No, we bought it from em. Cheap.

(Indians didn't think it was possible to own land, so they thought they were ripping us off. Turns out you can, and they weren't.)
