The low flame setting on my stove is a little too high for my taste. Is there a way to adjust the gas usage to lower the flame size?

my stove has adjustments in the stem of the control valve for each burner.Remove the knob that controls the burner.Look in the end of the stem sticking out,the screws are down in the end of the stem. Turning it clock-wise lowers the flame,counter-clock-wise increases the flame.Hope this helps.

Without knowing the make and model, it's impossible to be certain, but there is probably not a second valve on the stove. You could try partly reducing the gas to the stove, by slightly closing the gas valve on the line leading to it. This would also reduce the flame at all other settings, including high.

You should have a nosle on the back of the stove that will be able to adjust the amount of gas that goes through the stove.
