I just wanted to know what you do to keep your baby busy during the day... If you have kids past 6 months and still remember, your advice is appreciated. My baby doesn't cry a lot she is just busy... I've been around a lot of kids and this is a busy one!!! What works/worked for you?

I like to make a play pen out of my family room. I let my son (10 months) crawl all over the room and play with whatever he wants.
My family room only gets picked up for company otherwise he has the run of the room.

We have a 7 month old and a 3 year old..Both very very busy little boys! Our first started to crawl around 6 months and has not stopped since.. We just used to (and still do with the baby) have lots of time playing with toys on the carpet.. or in play pen.. Starting alone time at a young age worked really well for us. We also introduced books very early and our three year old will now spend at least 45 minutes sitting in his crib and reading (well looking at the pictures) or all his books, he loves them.. When he was little like yours he spent alot of the time trying to eat his books lol but this was just a phase.. Oh ya and we also started swimming lessons at 4 months which both boys love and keeps them occupied for at least half hour a week.. (although I now swim with my older son almost every day at the Y)

Oh ya we also got a step and play which is like a seat with piano keys under the feet and lots of lights noises and things to touch on it (kind of like a saucer thingy)

Exersaucer! It's wonderful!
Baby Einstein Videos. They are full of color and classical music.
Also A play mat Gym. If baby is getting around on the floor then you can either stay there and watch or put the gym in the crib! Try it they fit!
Little Block toys that she can take out of a container.

a busy baby could use a playpen to play in to keep them safe and happy, while you get some things done around the house or have some time for yourself.(while keeping an eye on baby, mind you) I have noticed a lot of moms not getting their babies used to playpens anymore, but they really are life savers if you want to have a happy home.
