It is very rare to get a false positive test result. It is more common to get a false negative due to not enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine was built up. Make an appointment with your doctor right away to confirm either way with a blood test. Good luck.

False negative readings are much more common than false positive readings. Make an appointment with your doctor to have a blood test, and ask whether or not you should go off your birth control pills.

Do not have sex since you stopped your pill. Take another test, or better yet get to a clinic and have them test you and/or do an exam. But if you're not pregnant now and you stopped your pills before the end of the cylce - you are really fertile.

Call your doctor and make an appointment. Make sure to tell them that you got a positive test result so they can get you in as soon as possible. Good luck.

False negatives are common, false positives are much more rare. Maybe there just wasn't enough pregnancy hormone when you last took the test.

Why not take another (different brand) to make sure?

Well you could take another test and go with majority rule or make an appointment to see your doctor. I got pregnant on BC with my first son so I know it does happen.

Go see your gynecologist. A quick peek at your cervix will tell the tale.
