Do you think that veterans who have served in combat are given 'the best this country has to offer' as myriad politicians have intoned is deserved by those veterans? Or are parades (if given) and an honorable discharge enough for those not 'wounded'? What should be given to those totally disabled? Partially disabled? Have you ever written your representatives about this? Ever talked to them directly about this? Is what you have done enough? Do any of you really care?

Oh, he** no!! Every time you turn around the government is taking away more and more of their benefits, saying they don't have the money for it anymore...been involved the last few years with a motorcycle run to raise money for the state Veterans Trust Fund because that has been depeleted and the government refuses to put more money in it, so we as citizens have been raising the money to put in it...this is not sad, it is SICK, that our government would make so many empty promises to our guys and gals to go out and get maimed and killed and mentally fu**ed up for the sake of our government's ego and then the government says "Oops. Sorry."??? NOT RIGHT

100% service connected receive $2499 compensation payment tax free and can draw social security. They also receive healthcare for life.

Percentages under that can draw different amounts. They also receive free healthcare for their injuries.

Do I think we compensate them enough? NO!
Yes, I do write my Congressmen about this issue regularly.
