Has onyone tested negative 2 days before a missed period then positive on the day of missed period??

Question

i took a test 2 or 3 days ago and was NEG>> and toady i am supposed to get my period but not here yet... should i test or just go by my last test and take it as a NEGITIVE>?? it was just the other day im scared i hate getting a negitve everytime i test!!!!!

I tested negative on a blood test at my doctor's office 3 days before my expected period and then on Saturday when I was due, my period never came so I took an at home pregnancy test and it was positive. Sometimes there is not enough HCG in your urine before you're late to pick up on a stick. I would take another test tomorrow morning if you haven't started because first morning urine generally contains the most HCG. Good luck and I hope this helped. I would wait a few days then test again. Some HPT can pick up the pregnancy hormone before a missed period but usually it's wrong unless you wait until you're actually late. Also, some women don't have a strong pregnancy hormonce anyway, so a HPT can still say negative even when they're pregnant. if you continue to be late and still get a negative, go get some blood work done to be sure. good luck!

Yes I have. Don't try before missed period! Those test that says you "can" tell 5 days before your period only work for like 30% of women, 3 days prior to period like 60% (it tells you this if you read all the crap INSIDE the box after you have all ready bought it...I think it is false advertising!)

My youngest - I got pregnant on the 1st took a test on the 14th negative took another on the 16th positive

I've been there so many time so I know how you feel. If your period hasn't come yet then I would suggest taking another test no matter how disappointing the results may be. Knowing as soon as possible that you are or aren't pregnant is better than not knowing. If you want to save on money and not buy another test then just play the waiting game (I know, its sucks) and see what happens. Good luck to you :)

Try again in two days, and use the first morning pee to test with. It's possible that there weren't enough of the hcg to test you positive the first time. Now there is since you're further along. Not always a guarantee either way unless you decide to try it again in a couple of days, with that early morning urine. Good luck! Congratulations if there is a baby, and you want the baby.

I actually tested negative 2 days before my period & then positive a week later...It's so frustrating! The positive was even not a full + sign....when in doubt go to the Dr.

I tested neg with 4 pregnancy tests even after I missed my cycle. I needed a blood test and that said I was and my levels were so high that a HPT cant read them. I am due with twins in 2 weeks. Good Luck!!

I didn't show positive til 3-4 days after I missed. It was the same with both pregnancies.

Get First Response preg test and retest..First Response will give you accurate results before your first missed period while none of the others work until after you are late.....good luck!
