i have a samsung television. and a samsung pvr 160 hddr dvd recorder. what i want to do is to connect them all up so that i can use my freeview box with my hard drive recorder. please tell me how i go about it johnny

if you are trying to record the freeview from the inside of the tv to the hdd, then it will not work. As samsung and most other manufactures will not allow you to do this. ( its dtv out from scart, the instructions also inform you of this ).

Best thing to do is buy another freeview box, therefore giving you twin tuner, which allows you to watch one freeview wilst recording another freeview.

For my recorder. I connect the television aerial to the freeview, which then is going into the television. whilst i desire to checklist from the freeview field I in simple terms positioned my recorder onto its av channel (I`m assuming your television is already linked on your recorder)
