When will you people understand! Hillary is a socialist as much as Bush is a fascist! They both suck! You people continue to fight for "your" people when really you are trying to get rid of those people! Give freedom, it just makes sense! ~ Libertarian

You are acting like socialism is the great satan. It isn't. It is not particularly what I am for, I like small government, but I wouldn't condemn it just because of the term.
Socialism came about because capitilalism did indeed exploit workers. The middle class was formed because workers took a stand about it, the history was quite bloody.
Back in the 40's and 50's the pendulum took a swing the other way, and unions got to the point THEY were screwing things up worse than management. That has subsided at this point, and we are back to executives writing out $210 million dollar golden parachutes for themselves when things get screwed up. I wonder who pays for that...
Hillary and socialism are two different issues. Hillary is not a socialist, she is an oppertunist. She will go with whatever the current set of polls say people want. She really was pro-war in the beginning, now she wants the troops to begin coming home in 90 days. So, the situation in Iraq changed all that much in the intervening time? Nah, the polls did. Anti-war is a safe position at the moment. If the polls swing the other way, you will bet she will rethink things again.
One way or another, some of these executive excesses need to be reigned in. If you are going to cut 10% of your workforce, perhaps you could also do with a slightly smaller yacht if you get my drift.
Keep your observations of individual politicians and political systems separarte, or it muddies the waters quite a bit.

Canada is not socialist or communist country, they adopted free health-care for their people long time ago, and still working!
