Important - Yes. But that doesn't imply that you can go around and seek sex in all the possible corners. It's more imprtant to understand your and your partners values before you can give any importance to sex. And other more important aspects are your responsibilites, your career, your duties towards your partner and your commitments...

Do you mean important. Yes sex is important but I think the feeling of being loved is up there also for relationships that are in a low point of "sex"

if ur question was that is sex the most important part of our life ..so my answer would be YES ...even if u look at the biggest monks or the krishna charita u wud see that one wud not obtain moksh until he has completed his physical life cycle and all the saints and monks have become monks after marriage n children
