That's a very difficult question to answer. It depends on several factors. If all the preparation and priming is done already, and lets say you have wood shingles, and vinyl windowns, an experienced painter should be able to paint the whole house in around a week, maybe more, maybe less.... but thats a very vague answer. If you have wood windows that need to be painted that will take much longer. I can do about 13-15 windows a day. The majority of the time will be spent preparing the surface, painting windows and trim. If you have vinyl windows, it will save alot of time. Also, how accessable is it. For example, if you have a ton of shrubs, bushes, trees and stuff surrounding the house, it will take the painter longer. Different sidings will take different amounts of time to paint.
Unfortunately there is no definite answer to your question.
Get a few estimates and ask each painter how long they think it will take.

That's kind of like asking How long does heart surgery take. It all depends on the variables. How many windows, doors, trim? What condition is the existing paint? Will there be scraping, sanding, spot priming and/or caulking needed. I would say anywhere between 60 and 200 man hours for a good job.

It took four men five days to paint my one storey, 1100 square foot house. That was two colors.
