Definitely. It has been shown before that any and ever team has a shot. The Ravens, definitely have to be considered one of the better teams in the AFC, with their offense improving through the season last year, and after a year to play together they should be that much better. The constant remains in Baltimore, the defense is still respected and feared. The combination could prove to be just right in 2007.

Of course they have a shot. All teams have a shot - the question is can they make it there? That is a little harder to say yes to.

I think their division isn't as strong as people would like to think it is, and if they keep a lot of their defensive roster, then they have a great shot at the playoffs. Here's the breakdown:

Cincinnati - They have a lot of offensive weapons and a great leader in Carson Palmer. I love what Marvin Lewis brings as a coach and I think Rudii Johnson is extremely underrated as a back. HOWEVER, their off the field debockles and erratic defense has me question if they can get to the playoffs. You can't keep a 52 man roster if half of them are in jail. There is way too much talent to not make it. If they fail again this season - if I were Palmer, I would ask to be traded.

Cleveland - I think Romeo Crennell is a great Defensive Coordinator, a great Head Coach - that remains to be seen. He paid too much to take Willie McGinest, who was on his way out. Charlie Frye is not the way to go and they need to address the RB situation and stat. I really don't see them doing better than 8-8. If they did, it would be the suprise of the century.

Pittsburgh - Not the same team from 2005. They lost 2 prized possessions in Grim and Wisenhunt. It's obvious that when Kimo VonOlehoffen left their D-Line was broken. The need to recoup this in order to be the Defensive team they were in '05. They also need Troy Polomalu to come back...where was he this past season? There is no reason for Roethelisberger to be throwing the ball as many times as he did. When you are a team like the steelers, known for their running game - you don't leave that, ESPECIALLY when you have Willie Parker. That kid is something special. I like Tomlin - but I doubt that they will be over a .500 team this season coming up.

That leads me to Baltimore - There are 2 Questions that I have: Where did the McNair-Mason hook up of old go? What are you going to do with Jamal Lewis? The defense will most likely be dominant and Todd Heap proved that he can still do it. I think that Adalius Thomas is not staying and it's too bad because Lewis is getting older...not that he isn't still a threat. This leads me to believe that they can win the division. Will they be 13-3 again? Not sure, but unless Cincinnati can fix their off-field problems, Cleveland can get a decent RB and Pittburgh go back to basics, I have to say they have a great shot.

Just my opinion anyway...

As a Pittsburgh Steeler fan I regretably have to say that the Ravens look very likely to repeat as division winners. Their defense is superb across the board and while their offense could use a better receiver or two they have a solid running game. The combination of a great defense and a solid running game has produced more Super Bowl winners than any other formula.

So yes, the Ravens have a good shot at going to the Super Bowl. Of course they still have to beat the Patriots and the Colts. Easier said than done.

Yes, most teams have a shot before the season start. But the Ravens should be able to make another run now that McNair has a season with the team and most of the defense will be back.

Of Course they will have a shot. Excellent D and a good QB. I can guarentee that they will get into the playoffs next year. Although I think they should make a move at RB. Some consider him not good enough to be a feature back, but I think the Ravens should pick up Dominic Rhodes in free agency and get rid of Lewis. Rhodes has proved his talent this year and has potential and experience.

As long as you don't lose too many players on defense, they should have a good chance at post season. I think they need to get at least 2 offensive play makers. They definitely need a wide receiver and maybe even a pass catching running back. Other than that they have as solid a team as any of the playoff teams from this past year. I think Steve McNair is still one of the best QB's in the league even though he didn't play very well in the playoffs. Free Agency is your biggest issue this year. If you lose Ed Reed or Adalius Thomas you'll have a lot of trouble replacing them.

Yes, they have a chance, but they need a new RB. Jamal Lewis is falling apart and the D is getting older, so next season may be the only chance Baltimore has for a while.

Not with Jamal Lewis as their running back. If they lose Adalius Thomas to free agency they will hurting to replace him. I am guessing that since the AFC is so good, that the Ravens will not make the super bowl.

Everyone at this stage of the game does I believe. We will have to see how it all turns out this next season I guess.
