One is not a nickel, it's a half-dollar, but the other one is a nickel, whichs combines the two into 55 cents.

One is not a nickel. The OTHER coin is the nickel, and the first is a half-dollar.

YOu didn't say neither coin was a nickel.

You have a rare 531/2 cent piece and an even rarer 1 1/2 cent piece. Guard these coins very well because there are only 2 known in existence and no one but you have both of them. You lucky numismatist!
