If you already know your spouse is adulterous, why do you need a private investigator?
From what I have seen, people who hire a pi to follow around their spouse already know they are cheating, they just "have" to have proof.
I don't think it is worth it myself, I think it is just prolonging the agony, and then you have to sit and be humiliated while the pi shows you the evidence of your spouse with another person.
Handle it yourself.

In my case no. I didn't hire the P.I. - someone else did - because I didn't want to believe he was cheating. The P.I. just confirmed what I already knew deep down. But my husband was an extremely skilled and convincing liar, too. He was skilled at coming across as a kind, shy, up-standing citizen, kind of person. Since we live in a no-fault divorce state the P.I.'s findings didn't even come in handy in court. I still have the tapes, the info, etc. - in case it's ever needed for future court battles or if our son ever has questions (when he's old enough to know the complete truth). Mostly I have the info as a reminder that, no matter how bad you love or trust people you still get burned . . .

I didn't hire anyone, I did it myself. He went to the bar as he normally did, I waited a couple hours then followed, sat right where everyone could see me and watched him with his young girl of the night and at the end of the evening when the last song was playing I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder and handed him our wedding rings back, reminding him that he said "if I ever caught him with another female he would give me a divorce with no questions asked". Of course he sputtered and fumed for a minute or two until people came over and told him I had been sitting there for over 2 hours watching him, I had him.

Oh hell no! If you know this fool is cheating then get rid of him. There is absolutely no point in staying with someone you can't trust. You should have saved that money for a divorce attorney.

It [P.I. services] was actually too expesive for my taste. You'd be suprised what you can do all by yourself with a $20 spyware and keylogging program. I found out all I needed to, and it was WELL worth it.
