although they stepped up production to 1 million a month, demand is outstripping supply it is very hard to get one. if you don't mind having to pay more you can try ebay. but they can be up to twice the price. otherwise you'll have to sit tight im afraid; see if you can find out when a shop gets a new delivery and go in that day to see if you can get one.

We looked all over the place for a Wii.If you have a EBgames around you they should be able to tell you what day they get theirs in.All of the other places we tried didnt have a clue.If you want it in the next couple of days and have paypal try ebay.We got a great Wii set off there with 5 games for under 400.The nintendo website has links to online stores that sell them and companies that sell them to.You can also try amazon they have new and used.I think either way you will have to wait a couple of days.

Hey there,
I got my hands on the Wii! As you can imagine it was impossible to find in the store. I came across this. Just enter you Zip Code and find out where you can purchase the Wii http://www.linkslice.com/school51418/. Good luck. Make sure you get Zelda. That's all I do :)

I got mine at target and than told my brother what I did and he got his a couple of weeks later. Try giving target calls mid week like today/ tomorrow.
I am sure your local area comes into play as well but Target was holding thier shipments and giving out tickets 1 hour before the store would open on Sundays. They held thier shipments in order to be able to advertise in thier sunday flyers that they would have them in stock.
when I got mine they had 70 stockpiled. I waited from 4 to 7am and was the second in line about one month ago
my brother did the same thing I said to do and he got one like two weeks ago. he didnt arrive as early as myself think he said he got there at 6am and there was noone there but closer to 7 hoards of people showed up. They only had 12 that sunday morning he went but they gave my brother a ticket at 7am before the store opened (store opens at 8am on sun in my area)
I am in southern NH myself and my brother actually went to a Target in his area like 4-5 towns away from mine. My area is pretty populated so I think that better explains the 70-12 ratio
My advise would be to keep calling target and hope the demand goes down

We looked everywhere in our state and no one had any, except for a very small town about forty miles away. I would suggest calling all the Wal-Marts in smaller towns. That usually work out for me. If you're willing to pay what they're charging on E-bay, go ahead, but I sure wouldn't.

Hiya,
you can purchase a Nintendo Wii thru any trusted 3rd party seller directly at Amazon. They have good feedback, deliver on time, mostly are merchants themselves simply and Amazon operates as the platform, in fact the purchase is processed directly via Amazon as you would usually buy from them.
You might check it out at
http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FNintendo-LU502934445-Wii%2Fdp%2FB0009VXBAQ%2Fsr%3D8-1%2Fqid%3D1166291892%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dvideogames&tag=advertiwillbe-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325
and then click on "See all buying options" at the right.
This is actually currently the best choice to get your hands on a Wii at all - without any hassles.
You might also try out ebay:
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1931119&mpre=http%3A//video-games.search.ebay.com/nintendo-wii_Systems_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR8QQsacatZ62054QQsubmitsearchZSearch
or Ebay express where only selected and trusted merchants are accepted:
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1931119&mpre=http%3A//search.express.ebay.com/__Video-Game-Systems_nintendo-wii_W0QQ_nkwZnintendoQ20wiiQQruZQQPlatform7397cc93ZNintendoWiif813746cQQ_fxdZ1
Hope that helps.
Best wishes
Mike
