You know that if you tried to hold up a large handful of oily ball bearing balls many would slip and fall to the floor under the force of gravity. The same force causes a 'heap' of 'slippery' water molecules to fall to the lowest level possible where they completely fill a container right up to a level surface just like the balls would spread out on a flat floor.

The tendency to minimum total potential energy is due to the second law of thermodynamics, which states that the entropy of a system will maximize at equilibrium. Given two possibilities - a low heat content and a high potential energy, or a high heat content and low potential energy, the latter will be the state with the highest entropy, and will therefore be the state towards which the system moves.
The principle of minimum total potential energy should not be confused with the related principle of minimum energy which states that for a system that changes without heat transfer, the total energy will be minimized.
Note that in most complex systems there is one global minimum and many local minima (smaller dips) in the potential energy. These are called metastable states. A system may reside in a local minimum for a long time — even an effectively infinite period of time.
Thus flowing water will end up from higher point to lower point beacause at the lower end is the point of minimum potential energy. The reason is that water flows from upper end to lower end is under the influence of gravity, friction produced by its motion adds to the heat of the surroundings with an attendant increase in entropy.

The flow of water is a inherent property of liquids and it flows from the higher end to lower end because of the pull of gravity. Everything flows from high to low... except for gases...as they are too light to have an effect of gravity on them.

nicely the smaller diameter pipe is going to greater rigidity thinking the certainty that water is coming from something that i bigger and pushing all the water right into a smaller pipe. basically seem at it like this you have a gallon of water that is going to flow right into a million/2 of a gallon jug. thinking the certainty that there is greater water that has to flow right into a smaller area your going to have some leftovers. Sorry if my answer is dumb or no longer precisely what you're in seek of yet i gave it a shot

Water is a fluid (the substance which flows). Earth attracts any object towards its centre whatever the height may be.So water also attracted towards the centre of the earth due to gravity. And for more... refer Fluid Dynamics.(Bernouli's Theorem)

this is natural. Not only liquid, also any object tend to movefrom higher end to lowerend.its due to gravity and unstable condition to stand still at such higher ends.

Its because each and every body/or water for your case tries to be at minimum potential energy level possible.
