I highly recommend The Simms and Tomb Raider. Both are highly addictive and have level settings so it's easier. Also games like Bustamove are great.

This may sound like a guy game to play and all but honesty with my experiences playing it I found that females kick major butt on it and are better. I would say try playing SOCOM 2. It's a shooter game and you can play online against people. Everytime i play the game and a female is in the room they always come out as the top player. Maybe you will enjoy it. Hey anything is worht a try.

Guitar Hero I or II. Really fun. Lego Star Wars, there are only a few buttons, so it's relatively simple to learn. Not a lot of button mashing.

I'd say the sims 2 and Madden. The sims is fun to try and play a person and in a football game you can challenge her and play, but don't boss her around otherwise she could get angry and say that you got it for yourself
