Absolutely fantastic programme!! Its hard to pick a fave character coz theyre all as good as each other! I think the McGuire family have added that extra zing, making this series as good as the first couple! It went a bit downhill for me when fiona and steve left, and if it wasnt for kev and veronica it wouldve been quite poor. But needless to say im still an avid fan and if i had to give a best character it would be Frank, least fave is Liam, only because the original Liam was cute and looked cheekier!

My favourite Shameless Character was Veronica followed closey by Sheila (wished they would come back)
In the show now my favourite is Yvonne (Kash's wife) and Carol (Veronicas mum) also Carols dark haired OAP mate shes funny too.
My worst is The Maquires (all of them) part from Karens partner! And bloody Monica erhhhhhhh that woman!
Isn't the programme just the BEST EVER!!!!! Brightons up my whole week! I suffer from depression when the series comes to an end.
Good job channel four have commisioned 2 new series's eh!

Hey TEE it aint a soap opera its a great series. My fave is Frank and least fave is the landlady behind the bar in the pub she is a nasty cow. I love the way the Maguires have a loving relationship after about 30 years or so they worship each other. Monica is a character you kind of love to hate. Especially when Carl opened the caravan and saw her ehem... you know, she carried on!

Great Series. They've just started filming series 5 with 16 episodes instead of the usual 8.
Best character for me is Frank jointly with Shelia who sadly has left.
Worst character Mimi McGuire.
All of the Gallagher family to me are great and already I feel sad that the series has ended ( it has on E4) and I cant wait for the new series.

all of teh characters are good, well acted and above all believable. frank seems to be smartening himself up, his rants, esp last nights in the jockey... well they seem to be laking any real vitriol...
lip karl ian and debbie, they're like so many kids where i live..
and teh mums bear a striking resemblance to monica... and teh local is full of franks... and were 120 miles from manchester...
the worst character, (so far) was the sperm whale back in series 2... oh, and the two new coppers... they're unrealistic and would have been firebombed if theyd pulled those stunts around here...
at least we all know someone like helmet... sad lonely and corruptable.
and for all you people who dont have freeview, dont miss next weeks episode, 90mins and bloody excellent...

Unfortunately I have only started to watch this series and absolutely love it. I will need to get the DVD of the other series!
I love all the characters - they are so believable! The kids are good but I think the woman who owns the shop is excellent!
Don't like Mama Maguire much - like the previous message I too think she is like a rough Cilla off Corrie!! Mind you, wouldn't like to cross any of the Maguires!!

I know what you mean about Carl - I like him too but Frank has got to be the best, he is a slob but a great actor!! Lol,
Im not keen on that new irish family - especially the mum - she reminds me of cilla from corrie

Difficult to give a "best" character - there's a lot of good 'uns.
Difficult to give a "worst" either, but they'd be a Maguire. With the exceptions of Mandy and Jamie who seem to be developing their own plotlines, the rest of the family are just filler.
