Your answer is wrong.
your answer : x = -5, y = 4
When you substitute into the equation,
2x - 2y = 2(-5) - 2(4) = -10 - 8 = -18 <> -2 !!!

The correct method is
2x - 2y = -2

-1(2x - 2y = -2)
2(-x - y = -7)

-2x + 2y = 2 ---(you do wrong in this step)
-2x - 2y = -14

4y/4 = 16/ 4

y = 4

2x - 2(4) = -2
2x - 8 = -2
2x = -2 + 8 ---(you do wrong in this step)

2x/2 = 6/2 ---(next step you do is wrong)

x = 3 ---(your answer is wrong)

Now, check
2x - 2y = 2(3) - 2(4) = 6 - 8 = -2 !!!

-x - y = -(3) - (4) = -7!!!
