I have a number of photos on my web site, and I do not want viewers to right click and copy them off of it.
How do I get this done?

Other sites, (such as www.cyclingnews.com) have something similar in place already.

Aint much you CAN do! If its on a webpage, anyone can copy it! Simple screen capture sotware can be used. About the only thing you can do to discourage it is watermark your pics.

Well, if you go to that website and do a right-click, you can view the actual javascript they have in place that prevents copying the photo's. Here are some others:

http://www.java-scripts.net/javascripts/No-Right-Click.phtml
http://javascript.internet.com/page-details/no-right-click.html
http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/scripts/no_right_click.html

Know that also even if you do use a script, if someone really wants a photo, they'll get it - I would suggest as someone also said, to watermark your photo's so that they'll be useless to anyone copying them.

There's a 'no right click' code here:http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright3.htm that will discourage people, but it is still possible to get the photos if someone really wanted them.

Also, there's a 'no right click' that ONLY works on photos here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright2.htm but you'd still have the same issues.

um type up in text of the pics on ur site

once you set that up, set up a lil link on that text that takes users to another page in ur site to view that pic.

use a watermarked pic.

-WARNING-
it might discurage users. (might)

but it works
