I was born in 1942,in Inja as the Empire prepared its' last rites

We moved to Kenya(tea)

From there British Army-back to Kenya and then back to Africa
again after demob
So I am not a white, lily livered liberal, but a colonial son of the soil
We have to face it,those days are long, long gone
We need to face today, what are we to do tomorrow and forget yesterday.
There is a world out there for our children and grandchildren.
Yes,they were halcyon days, but they are gone!!

Is it real ? is my first thought.
These days you can take any function and edit, reedit, touch up, or make up.
2nd thought, which parts were taken out, and why, is there some sort of implied message.

3rd thought, nice ceremony, I especially liked the circle of bayonet's.

4th thought, did the British do a good thing, or a bad thing, in the eyes of the people of Hong Kong ?
