I know exactly how you feel! I have been sick throughout my entire pregnancy. I was so sick within the first 6 months that I actually lost 22 lbs. to scale without having gained an ounce. But my doctors kept a close eye on the baby and said that he was doing fine, he was getting enough of whatever I could keep down to keep himself growing. They first suggested that I go off of the pre-natal vitamins and start taking dremamine. Which I would suggest to you to atleast try. It didn't work for me, the dremamine actually made me worse. I started taking the pre-natals again in my 5th month and from months 6-8 were pretty good. I was still gagging a lot and felt naseous some mornings but atleast I was keeping stuff down. Just make sure to carry a plastic grocery bag with you in your car. I did and I ended up having to pull over to throw up a few times. As miserable as its been I honestly wouldn't trade it for whats growing inside of me! Statistically, as long as your doctor's are keeping up on your baby's growth and development and everything is said to be going okay, Women who experience morning sickness or nasuea throughout pregnancy are 70% more likely not to have a miscarriage. So keep your chin up! There's good news in it after all!:)

I've had this with my first and now this (3rd) pregnancy. It's definatly not fun and does make for some very miserable moments in pregnancy.
With this pregnancy the only things that helped were dry cereal (cheerios mainly) and cheese. Granted the cheese caused another problem all on it's own but at times I had to decide if I'd rather be sick or constipated. Gingerale works as well - as long as you buy a name brand type. Do not use the generics as they don't have the same effect. If you do not like Gingerale try 7-up instead of sprite. Every doctor I've ever seen for any type of illness recommends 7-Up over Sprite if gingerale isn't an option.
There's also a B vitamin - which one exactly I don't remember - that my doctor told me to take at night before bed with my first pregnancy. It didn't stop the morning sickness (all day sickness really) completely, but made it much more manageable.

I went through the exact same thing. I stuck it out at work until 12 weeks because everyone said it would ease up then, but for me it was like that until at least 4 months. I stopped working at 3 months. The doctor put me on some pills, but they didn't help very much. They would usually prevent me from throwing up, but they didn't even touch the nausea. The only thing I found that helped a little bit was to eat only what I craved. If the smell of it made me feel sick I stayed away from it, but I mostly craved fruit, and when I would eat something that I craved, I would feel better after (mind you, I only felt better for about 15 minutes and then I would feel as bad as before. Needless to say I was eating almost constantly). If you can think of something that you would actually like to eat, that doesn't make you feel sicker, it might help. Maybe try fruit (or a fruit smoothy) or something bland and easy to digest. If their is nothing that you can eat, please make sure you keep your fluids up or you will end up in the hospital on an I.V.
Good Luck. I know it is terribly hard and it feels like it will never end, but even if it doesn't go away entirely, it will definatly ease up eventually. And when you start to feel the baby move at about 5 months, you will look back on this time and it will feel like it was a lifetime ago and you will feel that it was all worth it. I hope it ends soon for you!

I am sorry, I know how you feel. It really sucks. I was sick about 17 hours a day. If I did vomit, I would feel better for about 10 minutes and it would start again.
One of the keys is to NEVER let your stomach be empty. That is why it is recommended that you eat 6-7 small meals per day. Empty stomach=nausea. Another thing that I found help is vitamin water and vitamin B6.
Also the smell of hot foods tend to make you feel more sick. The scent is stronger in hot food and your higher sense of smell doesn't like that. I ate a lot of cottage cheese and tomatoes in my first trimester.
If you take prenatals they tend to make you sicker. My doctor suggested that I take 2 Flintstones with iron each day during my first trimester instead... and it helped a lot
For me it started to fade out during my 12th week. I am just shy of 14 weeks now and the sickness is gone. The headaches have kicked in however and they are bad as well...
The anti nausea pill they are referring to in the state of Indiana costs $25.00 per pill even with insurance. That is very expensive.

I've been told it goes away after 3 months, but it never did for me. With my daughter I had it the whole time, for 4 weeks right up to and dueing my c-section (I know you didnt need to hear that)
But with my second baby (I am 39 weeks pregant) I found out there are medactions you can take. I took Maxalion for 3 months. Then I took Stematile for 5 months
There is also a medication that you can only get via the hospital. I cant remember whats its called, but its the same medication they give cemo suffers to stop them being sick (some of my friends have had it, so its safe)
But try some natural stuff first. Blackmores make a tablet called "Morning Sickness Formula"
Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!

Get some ginger from your produce stand nibble a bit when you wake up and every time you start to eat. All herbal tea there are a lot of varieties get caffeine free and no green tea. It works I used it all last year when I was pregnant. You also can sip ginger ale all day, buy two cases one for in your car and one in your house. Try salads and eat fruit find a help food store where you can buy healthy food snacks like natural fruit newtons, dates, yogurt covered pretzels, raisins and apples will also stop your nausea. Apples have pectin in them and it helps stop nausea too. Corner baker has yummy food. Maybe you should start eating differently than you used to, it seems the baby doesn't want the stuff you are trying to eat so eat different foods.

I got the same feeling at 6 1/2 weeks. What helped me was drinking Orange Juice-and they even have some with extra vitamin C and other vitamins, so if you can't drink milk, it's ok. I also ate tons of apples, grapes, and other juicy fruits. It only lasted a few weeks for me, but one of the things that I learned was that I had to force myself to eat occasionally, because your stomach produces more acid when it's empty. Once I began forcing myself to have at least a small snack every 2 hours, the nausea went away almost completely. One other thing I learned was to sip fluids throughout the day, and not to drink much with my meals. I also started drinking room temperature water with a slice or 2 of lemon, lime, or orange in it. And if you can drink Sprite, try flat root beer. That was pretty easy for me to keep down, too. I still have days when I feel queasy, and I still have foods that make me nauseaus to even think about, but it goes away much faster than it feels like! Hang in there and make sure to take your Prenatals!

I'm 9 weeks, and experienced the same thing for about 3-4 weeks (from week 4-8ish)! What I figured out is the nausea was worst when I was hungry. Eating snacks every couple of hours helped. Just don't allow yourself to get hungry! Small snacks in between meals works the best, and don't skip meals! Good luck!
P.S. I felt better if I just let myself throw up!

I know how you feel - I carried vomit bags with me for the first four months. I felt great after the 5th month, but it's different for everybody. My mom was never sick, my girlfriend constantly sick :(
There is some prescription medication the doctor can give you to settle your stomach, I don't know the same of it to give you but I know it exists. Said girlfriend needed it because she started to loose too much weight from not being able to eat.
I couldn't do crackers (too salty) but I found eggo waffles to hit the spot for me. Don't be hesitant to call your Dr about meds if the aches and vomiting really get in the way of you going about your day. Feel better soon!
