About the only time I have ever felt sorry for a United fan. But to be crushed to death - Hilsborough - from behind, or battered to death by French police from the front? The police just laid in without a thought of what was happening. An absolute disgrace - as well as frightening.
An English bobby would have to check on your nationality before he even drew his truncheon - let alone reached for the tear gas.
And what was the tear gas about? There was a stonking great wire wall between them and the fans, so the fans were no instant threat.
Yet again the french (small F on purpose) police have proved that they dive in with sticks, club to death, then ask questions of the corpse.
This time United fans have my sympathy.
What do you reckon?

The club should be banned from any future competitions, the failure of basic crowd control without the actions of the police was truly horrifying.

The french police didn't bother to check what the problem was before they waded in with their batons and teargas. These were men, women and children trying to escape being crushed - like the Hillsborough tragedy. They saw English fans and immediately assumed they were hooligans. That's stereotyping if not racist. Absolutely disgraceful.

Of course they are,put a uniform on a Frenchman and they go haywire, they seem to think that they are gods, especially when it is the British that they have a chance to humiliate, after all, they remember when we beat them at Waterloo, also when we had to save them in two world wars,oh well,it is just the French being French.

They are thugs and 2 of them once beat me with truncheons for being English. Not at a football match, just in the street.

Police went over the top but if there were woman and children in danger of being crushed why were the people on the top of the fence big shaven headed guys.
