I believe the answer is mediums, but I'm not certain. It would also be very helpful if you gave some examples.

The answer is 'transparencies' these are materials like glass, cubic zirconia and diamond etc. where around 96% of light is transmitted and about 4% reflected (excluding total internal reflections).

Translucent is where some light can get through and Opaque is where no light can pass through.

A 'medium' can be anything that something travels through - air is a typical medium and so is water.
