Why does anyone get pregnant before they "should" or what society deems as "appropriate"? Why do people care so much about it in today's society when a couple of hundred years ago, teens were married and having children? People act like it's a "new" thing....when it's been around since the dawn of time....Young girls have babies.
But, the reasons why teenagers have babies are countless. Some of it is because of not being educated, or thinking they are INVINCIBLE. But you may find that that theory is less likely to be true than a few other things. For example.....MANY TEEN GIRLS DO USE BIRTH CONTROL. HOWEVER, certain antibiotics (penicillin) can make these ineffective, or even that the type of pill is too "weak" for them. Which results in an unplanned pregnancy, where birth control had failed! Other girls may have gone to a party, got into some drugs and drinking and becuase they weren't clear in thinking....got pregnant.
There are so many factors in this. Teens have hormones, teens fall in love, teens get "date raped", teens party and don't think right, teens are HUMAN. And because they are HUMAN they make mistakes. LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.
And the most amazing thing about all this is...THERE are MANY teens that are GOOD mothers...EXCELLENT PARENTS to their children. Yes, some arent, but there are also "ADULTS" who aren't capable of caring for their children. So really, I guess you can say, it takes more than AGE to be A PARENT!!

Some girls aren't aware they have become of child bearing years yet, especially if their first period did not amount to much at all, they are usually fertile enough to start producing babies..Some girls are fertile before other girls and in this case makes them able to be come pregnant at a younger age.I think teenagers and early pregnancy is from teens experimenting and not really understanding what they are doing and there ends of a baby with very young parents in a bad situation..But don't forget, there are a lot of adult parents looking for babies to adopt, so think about this.

ok, well.
Teens have the most hormones, so that's when the person wants to have sex most in their life. Ever heard the expression "your hormones are having a party"? well that's saying that the teen years are the years that your hormones are most active.*
*example 1: Your hormones make your metabolism work very fast, which is why teenagers will be the same weight no matter what they eat until they are in their 20's.
*example 2: Their hormones are very active in their _parts_ and their brain, causing them to find out what sex is. They then will want to do it, because their hormones will tell them too. Since the teenager's mind cannot overpower these hormones, they masturbate, as they cannot find a way to have sex. Once these teens get to be 16 and older, they will start to have sex.
Teens are too lazy to protect themselves, so thats how the pregnancy starts.

Because they think that their parents don't love them and they think that a baby will love them. So they go get pregnant only to find out when it's born if the baby is lucky to make it to birth that they have to grow up real fast and take care of the baby. They realize what a mistake they made and push the baby onto their parents because they don't want to have to be responsible for it and they don't want to give up their friends and their social life. Also maybe they think that they can't get pregnant if they have sex so when they do it's a shock to them. Also perhaps there are other teen girls who have kids or are pregnant so they think it's cool to do.

Cause the school system fails to provide the students with the proper tools to properly have safe sex. I know that some schools give out condoms now, but what good is that if the guys dont know how to put them on.

Because teenagers like to feel older than what they are and like to have sex. Also, they are very ignorant of the risks and don't pay attention, thus, leading to an early pregnancy.

that is not really a specific question do you think you could elaborate a bit more for me? and to help a little if that is the extent of you question, the way your saying this is like there doing it on purpose most kids who are having babies these days don't plan them. I know they have a choice to have sex or not but some of them are forced by peers.

Because they aren't using any birth control.
I can't figure out why everyone isn't using some form of protection as STD's especially AIDS are scarier to me than a pregnancy. However, I think teens are too self-conscious to go into the pharmacy to buy protection....another reason why they should be available in a dispensing machine - cheap !

i dont kno maybe becuz they think they ae grown or becuz they think it would make them more responsible....but im only 16 years old and im 28 weeks pregnant
