The taskbar consists of the whole bottom bar, made up of 4 elements: the Start menu, the Quick Launch bar, the application bar and the System Tray. For the first 2, you can just drag files onto them and a shortcut will be created where you drag. For the application bar, it only shows open windows and cannot contain permanent shortcuts. And the system tray only has icons for applications which are programmed to put icons there, though there are some program launchers which sit in the tray and allow you to put custom shortcuts in them.

I tried to drag and drop Outlook from my desktop to the taskbar, and it told me I couldn't do that. And Outlook is not one of the items available on the taskbar list. Click on Start, Settings, Taskbar & Start Menu and choose Customize on the Taskbar tab. this will give you the list of items that can be shown on the taskbar.

hey its easy but lengthy!
first of all u 've to make a new folder of your required programs i.e. just insert the shortcuts of the programs u want on the taskbar. Then
just make a right click on the taskbar, then go to Toolbars' navigation menu, then u will see an option of 'new toolbar...'
click on it and then give the path of the folder u just created and the 'taskbar-task' is complete!!!
