I keep forgetting songs over the years so if anyone has some oldies from 70s and 80's to jog my memory that would be great, thanks in advance

ooh. 70's and 80's.
Well the songs that spring to my mind that I like are -
Billy Ocean - Love really hurts without you
The Foundations - Build me up buttercup
Elton John - Guess that's why they call it the blues

Listen to a local radio station that plays that sort of music and you'll get loads of ideas.

My favourite oldies are:

Europe - Final Coundown
Cher - Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves
Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High
John Denver - Annie's Song
Bette Middler - The Rose

It's funny cos these are mixed in with all the indie/rock stuff I listen to today and every now and again when my ipod's on shuffle, one of these cheesy oldies comes on. Always makes me smile!

tina turner's 'what's love got to do with it?' (album version) and 'typical male', jermaine stewart's 'we don't have to take our clothes off' and 'say it again', prince's 'seven', pwl stuff such as kylie, jason donovan and yes rick astley! madonna's open your heart (ben liebrand remix), like a prayer, alexander o' neal's 'the lovers and 'what can i say to make you love me', donna summer, george michael and aretha franklin's 'i knew you were waiting' (ben liebrand remix). it's mainly retro stuff on my mp3 player and hardly any recent music, though i prefer the classics over today's music any day
