Not sure if its the same for sheep but cows lie down when it is gonna rain. This is because they want to keep the land beneath them dry - not sure why - maybe dont like to stand in mud or summat or maybe they want to keep thee grass dry to eat? Maybe its the same for sheep - dont see why not. Or maybe they just fancy a kip!

I like silly questions like these lol!
