No, they are not. One should always be reasonable to a certain extent, but just because of that "saying", customers cannot be allowed to abuse and disrespect the system or the people that serve them. Some customers are totally irrational and abusive.

yes always

as an owner of a company
the customer is always right and you need to be nice even when you want to slap them

word of mouth is big around here we are in a small town and when a customer leaves happy they tell someone and they come in and they leave happy and tell someone

this is how most small companies start out word of mouth about how nice they were treated and how the customer service was

Yes, unfortunately so. As a store employee, I sometimes run across rude and complaining customers who as we know, are not always right and very often wrong. But, corporate policy dictates this slogan which in truth is B.S.

I'm a bartender. Chances are the customer is very very wrong. But situation dictates. If buddy wants an expensive drink and I screw it up, yeah they're right. If he's drunk and says he can drive home, he's very wrong.

If the customer is cute, of course. You need to do anything you can in order to get his phone number. But if he's not and your boss is not around, do whatever you feel like.

No, customers come in with half-information, which is wrong anyway, and you cannot convince them of it otherwise.

Then they retort with some bonehead line like, "It wasn't always this way." There are days you want to feed them to the alligators.
