1 GB downloading is a limit allowed to your account, everytime you download a software, song etc from internet it gets calculated in your downloading account, even opening a websites download some bytes i.e. less, it is better to always keep checking the size of data you have downloaded so far

Like programs in our computer take some some size in Mb's or GB's likewise Websites on the net, or files on the net have a space which they take. Like Yahoo's main homepage takes 1 MB total space on that server. When you visit a web page or download a file from the net its copy is saved on the Server of the Internet Service Provider you are using, so that they can count your Internet Usage. Most ISP's charge 1 MB for Rupee 1 (eg. ) so from the account they will deduct Re.1 from your account for every MB you download or acess from the net. I GB free download means that you wont be paying Re.1 for every MB until your account NET usage does not cross 1024 MB (1GB).

everytime u open a website, all that u see on the browser is downloaded on the computer. all this adds to your download. and if you download any music, movies, etc, add to all of this. you have to keep a tab on it to prevent over usage. the usage completely depends on you.. on an average, 400 MB might not last a month... 1GB ..hmmmm...?? try it out..

Its a way to lure users. Just understand data which is requested comes in the form of bits, byte, kilo byte which is actually counted by the server and it amounts to the mega byte and giga byte. Your usage depends upon the contents and page size. A page with a big picture on it wil be of much more kilo byte than simple page with text.

It is the free space provided to you for downloading and uploading files. You are allowed to use this space provided to you, and further usage will be charged.
