So I'm thinking about getting this appartment downtown and its is great. Love the floor plan, the finishes, the price. One thing bother me though. The wall that my bed would be up against is the common wall between me and the appartment next to me. Now, this normally wouldn't bother me, but the room on the other side of my bed's wall is the bathroom, and to make matters worse its the wall that the other person's toliet is on. So here's my concern, I am afraid that I will be spending all this money a month for a great place, but evey time my neighbor goes to the bathroom, I will not only hear the flushing, but him or her peeing. yuck. I can't really put the bed anywhere else becasue its a loft and this is the little "nook" part of the space where the bed goes. I have never been in an appartment before, always rented a home. What do you guys think, am I being paranoid? Just seems like being that close to another person's toilet is gross.
Thanks

one more thing, is it possible to "get" anything that close to another person's bathroom? I understand theres a wall, but it just seems so creepy.
Thanks again

If its a nice apartment building they usually have some type of sound deadening in the common walls. Personally, i hate apartments because you never know if you have quiet neighbors or noisy ones. I am happy in my house rental. Much more privacy. Its the luck of the draw with apartments.

Good luck if you go that route.

Depends on if you think it's worth it. You can't "get" anything from being that close. But what you can do is decorate that wall with blankets or something that will act like a sound barrier.

thats so gross. I would NOT move there and if I did I would put my bed somewhere else-even in the living room if I had to/ how can you "get" something? Thats just ridiculous.

Just don't put your bed there....put a big dresser so it blocks out the sound....
