Does it really matter what other people think. Just be yourself. People who cant accept that are not worth knowing, so you like to dress and act qa little different, shows that you are unique, that you are not afraid to stand out from the crowd and are not merley a sheep. Personally I have more respect for people who are them selves than those idiots that alow themselfs to get dragged along with a crowd. You only have one life live it to the full and dont worry about other people, half the time they are the ones who wish they had your courage to stand up and be themselves. Dont every be anything else but true to yourself.

Hope this helps

Just be yourself, my friend! But, if being yourself is considered "extreme among the norm", whatever that is, be prepared to stand up for yourself or take the hard knocks for it! I'm a baby boomer, an old hippie from the "make love not war" era & we too acted "odd" & wore some HEAVY makeup, as did people further back in history, i.e. Julius Ceaser. And remember, those who judge you are also being judged by God & it's HIS judgement that matters in the end.

at the end of the day, it's your life- nobody else's. the fact that you are gay shouldn't influence or affect your friend's judgement or opinions. don't be ashamed of your sexuality; if this is the way you truly feel, then go for it- and to hell with those who say otherwise. you are allowed to be yourself; in fact, you have every right to be this way and to feel this way. you know that in today's age, a lot of people as the years have gone by, had the courage to come out of the closet and without fearing as if their families or friends will reject them. and you're right you wear make up, it's just the way you act and feel. if other people cannot accept you for who you are, which is a good human being, rather than what you are and that is as a homoseuxal man, then they are not worth it. stick close to those who will treat you with respect, and of whom will never judge you because of who you are

Stop spending time with people who don't accept you and realize what a wonderful person you are. Life is to short to not be happy during it, make some new friends who like you for you. There are 6.5 billion people in the world, so you have an excellent chance of finding other people who will accept you 100%.

Personally, I would not worry about what other people think about what you liek wearing or doing, it's never good to conform to any one person's way of thinking just because they view your attire as not be respectable.

Individuality and being unique is the best way to show others your true self, so just be who you want to be and wear what you want, without worrying of anyone else, if what you do makes you happy and content, otherwise you will be miserable your whole life.

Try not to care what anyone else thinks of you. It's best just to be true to yourself. Some people will often try to change you if you don't fit into their way of thinking. Ignore them as you can't spend your whole life trying to please other people! If you do, you'll never be happy. It's great that you've got a best mate who understands you, concentrate on the people who do let you be yourself & remember it is ok to be different.

BE YOURSELF. You don't have to be what someone else wants you to be, why do you think that? You'll not be happy unless you're true to who you are. I can be hard, and you'll most likely get picked on or harassed, but ignore the idiots. Just be you. I bet there are more people out there than just your best friend who will appreciate you for YOU. And they're worth finding. It may be rough going at first, but the more you're true to yourself, the easier it will become.
Good luck!!!

By stating that you always have to be what someone else wants you to be, you are basically telling me that you care what others think. No one should prevent you from feeling that way and if they do, then they aren't your real friends. Don't hide who you are, just be YOU. Don't worry what others say or think when in your presence. At the end of the day, it's You that matters and no one else.

Screw everybody else. You're different, you're unique, you're not all go with the flowish. You're a square peg being forced into a circle opening, and that's just not going to happen.

Try not to care about what other people think so often. The hell do they know anyway? Just keep being you. The only person who can ever stop you from being yourself, is you.

I guess the place where you have little choice, is at work where employers want you to conform to societal norms so that you don't make any customers or co-workers uncomfortable.

After that, you are simply making rules for yourself by listening to the rules others set. Make you own choices and enjoy who you are (as long as you are not breaking the law). However, you will have to accept that ignorant people will castigate you for failing to follow what they believe are required roles. But this is their own fear at work. Reject that fear and be yourself.
