Shakira is way more than "Hips Don't Lie" - she has written and recorded over 80 terrific songs in several genres. For the losers who claim "all her songs sound the same," I dare you to shut your mouth until you have heard at least 1/4 of them.
She writes or co-writes all of her own material. She wrote her first song at age 8, and signed her first recording contract when she was 13 (with Sony, who has kept her contract up to present day.)
She maintains an incredible amount of creative control over her music - from writing to post-production, and even co-directing her own videos.
On tour, she doesn't use backup dancers - she entertains ALL BY HERSELF (and her awesome band.) That's really rare nowadays.

I might be 68 but if I could shake my hips like that I would........and then my hips won't lie! I like her songs as well. Especially "underneath your clothes"

I like her. I'm a huge fan. I think her earlier music was better and like her better with black hair.

she can definitely move her body, one thing for sure =) not too sure about her voice though- yes, its a little masculine, personally, i'm not a big fan of very feminine voices but hers is a little too manly. In my opinion..
