I recently changed the settings on my computer and now I've forgotten the admin and my own password! These 2 are the only ones that have adiminstration status. The other accounts I put on limited. and of course I do know those passwords, but the 1 you need you don't remeber. PLease help me I needed to download something and now I can't, because the user is set on lilmited!!

Boot from the CD and perform a repair - when the gui comes up, hit SHIFT + F10, which gives you a command window. Type "compmgmt.msc" (no quotes) & hit enter. Expand local users & groups - users, right click the user you want to change and click reset password.

Don't listen to those other answers. If you have your XP disk you will have no problem using the procedure at this site. You will need to change the admin password.
