Okay guys... Day 3 of dust storm in my tank from that crushed coral. And there is no sign of it getting any better. I plan to siphon it tonight, Eventhough too many siphons will cost me a little more than I want to spend in salt. Any other suggestions please?

Siphon the dust (after it's settled) into a CLEAN container. Wait for it to settle again, then use a cup to put the clear water (what's at the top) back into your tank. Less water you'll have to replace overall.

ADDITION - don't toss the water with the dust - you can keep this in a bottle or jar and add a little at a time to future water changes to keep your water hardness up

If you have or can get your hands on ANY type of mechanical filter ie. aqua clear hang on.
Put just the foam block and or some filter wool in it and run that for a couple of days stiring up the sand once in a while.
That should do the trick but remember you will probably NEVER get rid of it all, some will settle on and in your live rock.
Make sure you have plenty of current in your tank using powerheads.

Next time wash the coral a lot before putting it in your tank. For now you might try to find a diatom filter(if you have to buy it kiss $100 goodbye), if you can borrow one it will clear the tank. If you do borrow one it would be good form to replace the filter bag for the owner. Good luck.-----PeeTee----- Oh yeah, the brand name of mine is "Vortex".

if you get a sock and use it to catch the dust in the water you wont have to use and more salt or water ive dont this before and it worked great. make sure its a white sock so there are not chances of contamination. good luck!!
