Yes, I saw that story also. It should be given to the drunks on the highways that are given probation or less.

Even the media is wondering if it is excessive, but does she have convictions for similar actions? Also, this is just south of the DC area and there have been some very high profile cases lately regarding road rage and people being killed following episodes of road rage. i think the public is tired of people thinking they can act like barbarians just because they are behind the wheel, and they issued the smack down on this person because she was in their sights.

It does sound a little excessive but I guess it depends on the circumstances.
Did it endanger anyone else, are there previous convictions or previous claims of violent or aggressive behaviour?

And if you're in the US, just looking at someone the wrong way can get you a long spell in prison. The judicial system is not reknowned for it's openness and its fairness. There are a lot of people in prison, some even on death row, for minor crimes or even for crimes they did not commit.

That's crazy! Even people whom have abused drugs while driving haven't received two years in jail. Did the ice damage the other person's vision when the ice was thrown?

Yes, considering there have been cases of people actually shooting someone in other states that have not received as stiff a penalty.

Her husband is on his 3rd tour of duty. So her kids have to stay with her mother. They are about to loose their base housing. Such a sad story.

before everything, the punishment is "as much as two years". the rather sentence would be no longer something of the variety. she will probably get sentenced to time served plus a small high-quality and could flow to counselling, which she looks to choose. the different guy needs a ************. 40,000 people a year die on the roads, due oftentimes to a hundred% preventable injuries led to via idiots like him.

what the gov trying to to do is forcing you to pay penalty (if you prefer penalty then being jailed) so, making you responsible next time. Then it is cruel to be jailed 2 years for throwing ice. it's alright to be punished by paying penalty.
